Kathryn Arrants, Family Support Specialist
Kathryn holds bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Family Studies and has approximately two years of experience in social work. Her background also includes working in corrections, where she developed many of the same skills used in social work, including connecting individuals with resources, providing encouragement, and supporting others through education.
As a member of the Two Rivers Public Health Department team, Kathryn is excited to work with families throughout the district. She believes that while public health professionals are there to provide guidance, education, and support, every interaction is also an opportunity to listen, learn, and grow alongside the families they serve.
Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys spending time with her husband, Jason, with whom she has been married for 33 years. Family is an important part of her life, and she treasures spending time with their seven grandchildren, especially during Sunday family dinners whenever everyone can be together. In her free time, she also enjoys kayaking, spending time with friends, and caring for the family's pets, including their dachshunds, Charlie and Cash, their Golden Retriever, Oakley, and their cat, PJ.
