Cooper Lowe, Environmental Health Specialist
Cooper is our newest Environmental Health Specialist. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from West Virginia University and a Professional Certificate in River Studies and Leadership from the River Management Society. His background includes water quality testing with Friends of Deckers Creek, where he worked on acid mine drainage and heavy metals testing, as well as pest management with Davey Tree using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.
At TRPHD, he is excited to learn more about environmental hazards that directly impact community health, especially programs like well water testing, lead, and radon.
He enjoys investigating environmental health issues and helping connect people with the resources they need to improve their lives. Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, he enjoys hiking, camping, painting, and playing computer and tabletop games. He is the youngest of four and has a Siberian husky named Juneau.
